The End

This is my last post on The Dark Side Art. I'm not going to delete it cause it has a lot of visits just for this few amount of artists which I really like, and that is what I wanted. I simply don't have the time to continue with it anymore.

I will continue to publish on my other blog, which focuses on japanese legendary creatures and ghosts, if you want to take a look. It's in Spanish though, but I was considering to translate it to English someday.

David Hochbaum

Working out of the New Yorks East Village David has been creating his "photo constructions" for more than 15 years. Known for his intricate multi-media photo constructions that meld photographs, printed matter, oil, acrylics, inks, wood and metal, Hochbaum's East Village neighborhood literally winds up in his work as found objects are eventually incorporated into his surreal collages of women, serpents, demons and more.

David Hochbaum’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, Europe, and South America.

Chet Zar

Zar's interest in the darker side of art began in the earliest stages of his life. A natural fascination with all things strange fostered within himself a deep connection to horror movies and dark imagery. Eventually this culminated into a career as a special effects make up artist, designer and sculptor for the motion picture industry, and the critically acclaimed music videos for the band Tool. Later he decided to go back to his roots and focus on his own original works and try his hand at painting in oils. The result has been a renewed sense of purpose, artistic freedom and a clarity of vision that is evident in his darkly surreal (and often darkly humorous) paintings.

Zoe Lacchei

She's an Italian artist, well known for her eclectic art where she’s mixing, in an unmistakable style, her passion for Japanese culture with the modern interpretation of the traditional techniques and materials. Ilustrator, cartoonist, painter, art director and multimedia product and character designer, her symbolic figurative art melts, many different subjects into something extraordinary.
